Grandmothers Sitting in a Circle :: the pace and posture of permission

| $5 – $25The Indigena Project public performance ceremony and fundraiser by and for re-Indigenizing women and girls, their communities and allies. Held at La Palabra’s little “Mercantile,” we will make a creative and healing offering from our time together at the The Indigena Project cultural restoration and healing gathering.
What’s in store:
- The Indígena Project I participants (Krista Arias, Carlie Domingues, Kat Ely, Cecilia Flor, Rebecca Lee, Xilomen Rios, Casandra Ramirez) perform a healing stitching circle of inquiry into the dynamics of permission as understood by us as we request the right to reconnect with our Indigenous ancestors.
- Accompanied by Xochiquetzal’s Bed, a short film by Krista Arias
- and songs in Lakota and English by Rebecca Lee
- Followed by short film about death by Cecilia Flor
- Pozole will be served…
